Simar Farm is a thriving 50-acre coffee farm located 80km from Kampala, Uganda. The fertile land is ideal for cultivating high-quality robusta coffee, thanks to its perfect balance of rainy and dry seasons. Established in 2020 by Dr. Mponsa Moses in the picturesque village of Naguru, the farm has built strong ties with the local community, compensating residents for their land and offering employment opportunities.
Simar Farm is committed to 100% organic practices, integrating goat rearing for natural soil enrichment. Officially registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau and aligned with the Uganda Coffee Development Authority, the farm prioritizes certification to meet trade standards.
Rooted in a family legacy of coffee cultivation, Simar Farm not only produces premium robusta coffee but also creates around 30 permanent jobs and 10-100 seasonal positions. It adheres to a strict no-child labor policy, allowing limited work for older students with parental supervision during school breaks.
The farm follows agroecological practices, avoiding harmful chemicals and utilizing local bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides. Simar Farm processes its coffee using both dry and wet methods to ensure the highest quality. The farm aims to contribute positively to the environment and local livelihoods by focusing on sustainability and community impact.
